Ellen (Ellie) Krug transitioned from male to female in 2009 while practicing law in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and later became one of the few attorneys nationally to try jury cases in separate genders. She is the author of Getting to Ellen and Being Ellen, has presented on diversity and inclusion more than one thousand times, and has won the American Bar Association’s Stonewall Award and OutFront Minnesota’s Legacy Award.
