Submit an event

Running something? Put it on the calendar. It takes a few minutes, it costs nothing, and it reaches people who are already looking for exactly this.

01

What belongs here

Any event by, for, or of interest to Minnesota’s LGBTQ+ communities. Drag and nightlife, and also fundraisers, worship, art openings, sports leagues, book clubs, recovery meetings, support groups, town halls, and more.

We don’t list private parties, and we don’t list events that require an invitation to attend.

02

What it costs

Nothing. Listings are free and they will stay free. We don’t sell placement or position on this calendar, and we won’t start. If an event is sponsored, or if it’s a Q Minnesota event, the listing says so.

03

What happens after you submit

A person reads every submission before it goes live. We check that the event is real, that it’s public, and that the basics are there: date, time, place, and how to get in. Most events are on the calendar within 48 hours.

If something is missing or unclear, we’ll email you before we publish, and that can add a day. If we can’t list it, we’ll tell you why.

04

What to have ready

The event name, the date, and the start and end time. If it repeats, the pattern.

Where it is. If the venue is already in our list, pick it. If it isn’t, choose “Create or Find a Venue” and give us the name and street address. Online or hybrid events can say so and include the link.

Who’s putting it on. Pick your organization from the list or add it with a name and a way to reach you. You don’t need an account and nothing is public until we’ve read it.

A short description in plain language: what it is, who it’s for, what it costs, and anything people need to know before they show up, like an age limit or accessibility details. The form has fields for those.

One image. A photo works better than a flyer, because we crop it wide for the event page and text near the edges gets cut. Landscape, at least 1200 pixels wide, .jpg or .png. If you only have a flyer, send it; we’d rather list the event than skip it.

A link for tickets or more information, if there is one.

05

Already listed and something changed?

A wrong time, a moved venue, an event that was called off. Email info@qminnesota.com and we’ll fix it. Corrections to this calendar get made in the open, the same as everywhere else on this site.
