Founded in 1983 and open to the public since 1986, it holds thousands of circulating books and DVDs alongside periodicals, comics, zines and archival collections, plus a free digital collection of e-books and audiobooks. Membership is free and open to anyone who wants to borrow. Beyond lending, Quatrefoil runs its own programming, including author readings and an annual fundraiser, and its space hosts the regular meetings of other Twin Cities LGBTQ+ groups, among them book clubs and social groups that appear separately on this calendar.
